TRAINING

Outdoor Softball training - Intermediates - Monday Nights from April 7th

Outdoor Softball training aimed at the intermediate Softballer, and open to all, will commence from Monday April 7th on the Downs at the far end of Lady's Mile, opposite Circular Road junction. The sessions will begin at 6.30pm and will be run by David Lee on behalf of the BSA.

There will be a charge of £2.00 per BSA participant and £3.00 for anyone else (this may increase slightly when we move to grounds to cover any possible hire of the grounds), this money will go directly to the BSA to help finance further services/facilities.

As you may be aware there are ground works going on at the Clifton college grounds so we'll not be able to train there until mid to late May.

These sessions are open to everyone, in any division, in any team and will focus on improving individual's basic skills, technique and strategic understanding in all aspects of the game.

All sessions will be, as always, dependant on favourable weather conditions and there will be a maximum of only 40 places available on a 1st come 1st served basis.

The sessions will cover many of the same general skills & techniques every week but there will also be accumulative/progressive coaching on batting, game plays and positional fielding.

For Further information contact David Lee on 0776 882 2464 or eMail davididlee@hotmail.com

Equipment required: - You'll need your own Glove.. That's It!

Please note that these are NOT beginners training sessions, they are aimed at intermediate softballers.

Look forward to seeing you all there

MONDAY NIGHT TRAINING at the ground

There are major earthworks going on at the grounds this year, for health and safety reasons, teams MUST phone first if they want to train there

Due to problems last year regarding when and where to practice, the following rules will need to be adhered to by ALL players in the league.

Teams will be deducted 3 points, if anyone of their players are caught practicing when and / or where they shouldn’t be, as per the following restrictions:
  • NO-ONE is allowed to train at the grounds until Monday 9th April
  • NO-ONE is allowed to practice at the grounds on weekends AT ANY TIME during the season
  • NO-ONE is allowed to practice on the pitches AT ANY TIME during the season
  • Teams can only practice in the designated areas as laid out in this diagram
  • If players wish to use the astro turf for practice, they will need to phone the grounds FIRST and obtain permission – players CAN NOT just turn up on the astro without permission
